JCP&L Reminds Customers To Stay Away From Down Wires
JCP&L reminds customers to immediately report any downed wires to the company, or their local police department. Customers should never go near a downed power line, even if they think it is no longer carrying electricity. Extra caution should be used in areas where downed lines are tangled in trees or other debris. To report downed wires or power outages, call 1-888-LIGHTSS (1-888-544-4877), or click the “Report Outage” link at www.firstenergycorp.com.

Spotted Lanternfly
As we are approaching late fall, we are upon the spotted lanternfly mating (SLF) season. It is important to note that SLF should be killed as soon as they are spotted, no matter what life stage they are in. They are an incredibly harmful invasive insect. SLF can be found in vehicles, trailers, brush, stones, outdoor furniture, grill, trees, etc. They prefer the invasive tree of heaven. You can expedite the Department of Agriculture and APHIS survey and treatment efforts by signing a Treatment Agreement for your respective property. You can also click here for homeowners information on how to address SLF on their property.
